College Park, MD -- (Sports Network) - Greivis Vasquez scored 28 points on 10- of-17 shooting from the floor to lead the Maryland Terrapins to a 73-49 win over the Youngstown State Penguins in non-conference play at the Comcast Center. Eric Hayes also added 13 points for the Terrapins (2-0). The Penguins (0-2) were paced by Jack Liles, who tallied 12 points and eight rebounds in the loss. DeAndre Mays also added 11 points for YSU. The Terrapins held YSU to just 23.3 percent shooting in the first half to take a 37-18 lead at the break. Maryland pulled away in the second stanza, shooting 12-of-27 from the floor en route to a convincing 24-point victory. The Terrapins dominated the Penguins in every stage of the game, outscoring YSU 21-11 from the foul line, while forcing the Penguins to shoot 0-for-13 from three-point range.
