Chestnut Hill, MA -- (Sports Network) - Boston College senior guard Tyrese Rice, the team's leading scorer from last season, will miss the initial three games of the 2008-09 campaign due to a violation of team rules.

Rice, who averaged 21 points a game last year, will be eligible to return against Saint Louis on Saturday, November 22. He also averaged 5.0 assists while playing 38.1 minutes per game, all while being honored as an all-ACC first-team selection.
