Carbondale, IL -- (Sports Network) - Carlton Fay shot 7-of-10 from the field and scored 17 points, as the Southern Illinois Salukis rallied for an 80-73 win over the Massachusetts Minutemen in the second round of the 2K Sports Classic.

Bryan Mullins scored 16 and dished out 13 assists for the Salukis (2-0). Kevin Dillard scored 14 off the bench, while Tony Boyle finished with 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting.

Ricky Harris paced UMass (1-1) with a game-high 24 points. Chris Lowe was next in line with 17 points, though he committed 10 turnovers. Anthony Gurley rounded out the double-digit scorers, finishing with 15 points.

SIU struggled from the floor in the first half, especially from long range, where the Salukis shot 0-of-8. Meanwhile, the Minutemen knocked down 4-of-8 from beyond the arc to grab a 39-28 halftime advantage.

But the Salukis came to life in the second stanza, burying 9-of-14 three- pointers. They took control of the game by going on a pivotal 10-0 run in the final minutes.

UMass led by as many as 15 late in the first half, but the Salukis never gave in. For their efforts, they'll now head to Madison Square Garden to take on Duke in the semifinals next week.
