NCAA Game Summary - Miami-Ohio At Ohio University

POSTED: 5:25 pm CDT October 17, 2009

(Sports Network) - Donte Harden ran for 121 yards and two scores, lifting the Ohio University Bobcats over the Miami-Ohio RedHawks, 28-7, in a Mid-American Conference tussle at Peden Stadium.

Quarterback Theo Scott also had a solid game for the Bobcats (5-2, 3-0 MAC), who have won three straight, completing 15-of-28 pass attempts for 163 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

For the RedHawks (0-7, 0-3), who have now dropped 12 games in a row dating back to last season, quarterback Zac Dysert had their lone touchdown on the ground. He, however, was picked twice and finished the game with 166 yards on 19-of-30 tosses.

Miami jumped out quickly and grabbed a 7-0 lead behind a one-yard touchdown run by Dysert five minutes into the bout.

Ohio knotted the score late in the first quarter with a one-yard touchdown run by Harden.

Midway through the second frame, the Bobcats took the lead courtesy of a 24- yard touchdown pass from Scott to Terrence McCrae.

Scott and McCrae hooked up once again just before the half, only this time from eight yards away to give Ohio a 21-7 lead at the break.

The lone touchdown of the second half came from Harden, who plunged one yard early in the fourth quarter for the 28-7 Ohio win.

The Bobcats' defense was on top of their game, holding Miami to just 218 total yards and forcing four turnovers.
