(Sports Network) - Joe Craddock threw for 212 yards and two touchdowns, as the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders upended the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, 21-10, in a non-conference matchup at LT Smith Stadium.

Phillip Tanner carried 27 times for 92 yards and a score for Middle Tennessee (4-6).

WKU (2-9) quarterback David Wolke completed 18-of-30 passes for 213 yards and a TD, but he threw an interception and was sacked five times. Jake Gaebler caught 11 passes for 125 yards and a touchdown. The Hilltoppers have now lost seven straight.

Middle Tennessee grabbed a 7-0 lead five minutes into the game, when Craddock threw a nine-yard touchdown pass to Malcolm Beyah.

WKU kicker Tanner Siewert converted a 22-yard field goal at the five-minute mark of the second quarter to make it a 7-3 game.

But the Blue Raiders answered with an 11-play, 74-yard drive, capped by Tanner's 29-yard touchdown run.

The Blue Raiders extended their lead to 21-3 early in the fourth quarter, when Craddock connected with Sancho McDonald for a 33-yard scoring strike.

Two minutes later, the Hilltoppers responded with a 27-yard touchdown pass from Wolke to Gaebler. But the Middle Tennessee defense held its ground the rest of the way.

The Blue Raiders converted 9-of-17 third downs for the game, while WKU converted just 3-of-12.
