NCAA Game Summary - Missouri At Colorado

(Sports Network) - Blaine Gabbert threw for 192 yards and two touchdowns, as the Missouri Tigers defeated the Colorado Buffaloes, 36-17, in Big 12 play at Folsom Field.

Danario Alexander caught both touchdown passes for Missouri (5-3, 1-3 Big12) and finished the game with 123 yards on eight receptions. Derrick Washington led the Tigers on the ground with 99 rushing yards and one score on 22 totes.

Tyler Hansen had a rough outing for Baylor (2-6, 1-3), as the quarterback threw for just 190 yards and one interception, while also being sacked eight different times.

The Tigers went 80 yards on 11 plays for their first drive of the contest and capped off the impressive start with a one-yard touchdown run by Washington.

The Tigers added another score midway through the opening frame when Gabbert connected with Alexander for a 73-yard scoring strike.

Gabbert and Alexander hooked up again in the first quarter, as the quarterback found his wideout for a two-yard scoring strike.

Missouri's dominance continued in the second quaarter, as the Tigers added a 29-yard field goal by Grant Ressel.

Seconds later the defense got involved in the scoring when Jarrell Harrison sacked Hansen in the end zone for a safety.

Missouri extended its lead to 33-0 with just over four minutes remaining in the first half when Forrest Shock connected with Jacquies Smith for a 24-yard scoring strike.

The Buffaloes finally hit the scoreboard late in the first half when Aric Goodman connected on a 48-yard field goal.

Colorado played much harder in the third quarter, as the team posted back-to- back touchdowns, beginning with a three-yard touchdown run by Rodney Stewart. The second score was produced by the defense, as Benjamin Burney returned an interception 78 yards to pay dirt.

However, Missouri continued to hold the Buffs at bay, as Ressel nailed a 33- yard field goal late in the final frame.

The would be the final points accounted for in the matchup, as the Tigers went on to claim the 19-point victory.
