The Minnesota Zoo is one of the nation's top zoos located just south of the Twin Cities in Apple Valley, Minn. The zoo is currently home to more than 2,400 animals, representing 15 species on the U.S. Endangered Species Act list. Visitors to the zoo can enjoy everything from Discovery Bay and a dolphin show to playful snow monkeys to the Saturn monorail that gives riders a bird's-eye view of the hardy, northern hemisphere animals.
