St. Petersburg, FL -- (Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Rays acquired reliever Chad Bradford from the Baltimore Orioles Thursday in exchange for a player to be named later.

Bradford, 33, was 3-3 with a 2.45 earned run average in 47 relief appearances for the Orioles this season.

The right-hander has appeared in 68 or more games in five of the past six seasons and he finished third among American League relievers with 78 appearances for the Orioles in 2007.

Bradford is expected to join the Rays in Seattle on Friday. The O's will make a move Friday to fill the roster spot.
