Twins Scratch Perkins From Start

Minneapolis, MN -- (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Twins scratched pitcher Glen Perkins from Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the New York Yankees due to a fever.Right-hander Anthony Swarzak (2-3) started in Perkins' place and took the loss after giving up four runs on eight hits in 4 1/3 innings. Swarzak rejoined the rotation in the place of Kevin Slowey, who is on the 15- day disabled list due to a strained right wrist. Swarzak was originally slated to start Thursday.
