After the Stone Arch Bridge reopened on Sunday afternoon, hundreds of onlookers gathered at the collapse site, trying to catch a glimpse of the Interstate 35W bridge.

The Stone Arch Bridge crosses the Mississippi, connecting downtown and the St. Anthony Main area, and is only a few blocks away from the Interstate 35W wreckage.

The Stone Arch Bridge is a popular pedestrian route for walkers and cyclists alike, used by many commuters each day.

Police kept the collapse site taped off, but onlookers still swarmed the nearby bridge, gazing down into the river with cameras in hand.
