Late September should be rockin' at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
First the Who announced last month that they were going to tour the U.S. and scheduled a Twin Cities stop to play at the "X" in downtown St. Paul on Sept. 24.Then, earlier this month, Bruce Springsteen announced his tour schedule, and he'll play the Xcel less than a week after the Who, scheduling a concert there Sept. 30.Now, Wednesday, fresh off news that he completed the most lucrative concert tour in the U.S. this year, former Beatle Paul McCartney announced that he was adding a new leg on his current tour, and would be at the Xcel Energy Center the night before the Who, on Sept. 23.That's a trio of Rock And Roll Hall of Fame honorees playing downtown St. Paul in less than a week this fall.Ticket information for McCartney's new tour leg haven't yet been released, but prices averaged $130 apiece for his tour earlier this year. His tour earlier this year earned more than $53 million for 27 North American stops, drawing more than 407,000 fans, Billboard magazine reported.
