Colts' Saturday Opts Against Surgery

POSTED: 5:52 pm CDT September 4, 2008

(Sports Network) - Indianapolis center Jeff Saturday has decided to pass on surgery and will continue to rehab the torn ligament in his right knee.

A three-time Pro Bowl selection, Saturday hurt the knee in the third quarter of the Colts' 20-7 preseason loss to the Buffalo Bills. The veteran appeared to get his leg rolled up on by several defenders and limped off the field under his own power.

The Colts open the 2008 campaign Sunday against the Chicago Bears at the brand-new Lucas Oil Stadium.
