NHL Game Summary - Minnesota At Chicago

(Sports Network) - Andrew Ladd capped a four-goal Blackhawks' comeback win with his second tally of the game and Chicago defeated the Minnesota Wild 4-3 in preseason play.

Ladd started the comeback with a goal in the second period and Patrick Sharp scored the first of his two goals later in the period. Sharp then hit the back of the net less than two minutes into the final stanza and Ladd netted the game-winner less than five minutes later.

Cristobal Huet allowed three first period goals but turned away 28 shots to hold on for the victory.

Stephane Veilleux, James Sheppard and Petr Kalus lit the lamp for Minnesota while Josh Harding stopped 29-of-33 shots.

Coming off a career-worst performance in his last outing, Niklas Backstrom turned aside all 22 shots he faced to record his third shutout of the season, as the Minnesota Wild blanked the St. Louis Blues, 4-0, at the Xcel Energy Center.
