Maryland
Annapolis -- You need Java for this picture (a strike against it there), and really, it's not all that nice. The picture of boats, the bay and shoreline shops is matted, the colors off and it's fuzzy. It does automatically update, but it's also too far away for details. As a result, there is little or no action. Disappointing.

Baltimore -- This shot looks outside a Krieger Hall room into a courtyard on the campus of Johns Hopkins University.

Baltimore -- The locals will love this one -- the Maryland State Highway Administration hosts a number of traffic cams for the city of Baltimore. Even better, the cams are accompanied by maps showing exactly which highway you're seeing. You do have to click a few layers before uncovering the cams, though -- and it's not very exciting for anyone outside the city. But it makes me wish that more cities had this kind of resource.

Ocean City -- Ready to hit the beach? Well, you'll be in the mood for it after checking out this beach cam from Ocean City, Md. This is another one that requires Java. It's a little fuzzy, but you can see people strolling down the walking path. It definitely makes me wish I lived on the coast, even in the winter.
