Report: Terrorists Studied 5 TargetsDisney Theme Parks, Sears Tower, Mall Of America On ListPosted: 1:04 p.m. EDT October 13, 2001 Updated: 4:08 p.m. EDT October 13, 2001 Terrorists have studied at least five national sites for possible terrorist attacks, including Disney theme parks, the Sears Tower in Chicago and the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn., the Miami Herald is reporting.
Sources inside the Bush administration told the paper that terrorists also have investigated unidentified sports complexes for possible attack. The Disney sites included both Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., and Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif. The information gathered by intelligence officials stops short of saying the sites were actually chosen as targets for terrorist strikes, according to the Herald
