2008 Denver, CO -- (Sports Network) - The Colorado Rockies acquired veteran right- handed pitcher Livan Hernandez off waivers from the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday.Hernandez, a 13-year veteran, was designated for assignment by the Twins on August 1 after going 10-8 with a 5.48 ERA in 23 starts for Minnesota this season. The Twins signed Hernandez in February, but ran out of room on their roster for him this month with Francisco Liriano recalled after dominating in the minor leagues. The 33-year-old hurler is 144-136 with a 4.32 ERA in 13 seasons with the Florida Marlins, San Francisco Giants, Montreal Expos/Washington Nationals, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Minnesota.
