POSTED: 9:22 pm CDT July 12, 2009

(Sports Network) - The American League has settled on its participants for Monday's Home Run Derby, held annually the day before the All-Star Game.

Tampa Bay Rays first baseman Carlos Pena, named as an All-Star replacement for Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia earlier Sunday, will join Tigers third baseman Brandon Inge, Rangers outfielder Nelson Cruz and Twins catcher Joe Mauer.

The National League field was set last week and is comprised of a quartet of first-baggers in Milwaukee's Prince Fielder, Philadelphia's Ryan Howard, San Diego's Adrian Gonzalez and hometown favorite St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols.

The Derby will be held one day prior to the 80th installment of the All- Star Game to be held at St. Louis' Busch Stadium.
